Do you find yourself holding on to past limiting beliefs and behaviors? Perhaps you have memories of being in debt and this is holding back the energy flow for money to come to you.
Or do you find that you are holding on to a past hurt in a relationship and this is blocking you from meeting a wonderful new partner, or if it is with your current partner it could block the two of you from getting closer. Whatever you are holding fears about will only hold you back from the gift of receiving something new, something better!
If you find yourself in a "funk" or worrying, doubting, brooding (some of the things under the "fear umbrella") do your best to shift out of this energy immediately. Staying in this space will not serve you or anyone else. Being in this place is only punishing you and those close to you. To shift out of the energy, DO SOMETHING! I suggest first writing out what you are feeling, if you're holding on to a past hurt, maybe write a letter of forgiveness (this letter is for your healing, you don't have to send it!) and then move on, and I mean literally "move". Take a walk, go for a run, dance, do some jumping jacks, 10 sun salutations, whatever you love to do...do it! Sitting with "it", the "funk" will only make it worse. Only you can allow the past to have a hold on you. Only you can allow the past to effect your "now" and your future.
For those of you familiar with Louise Hay, I am sure you have heard or have read the words, "The point of power is always in the present moment". Your thoughts right now are creating your life experiences, use that power to your advantage. The past is over and while we cannot change the past, we can change our attitude about it. If we brood over a past hurt, for instance we are only hurting ourselves more. We are in a sense punishing ourselves now for something in the past, allowing it to ruin our "present joy"!
Now, it may be hard to "get moving" and you may need to call on that inner-strength to help you, but once you do, you will be happy you did. You will shift that stagnate energy immediately. Even if you're feeling exhausted, you could just do some stretches on the floor. But keep in mind that taking a brisk walk will not only shift the mental state you are in, but may also give you a burst of energy! Just allow yourself the opportunity to shift through this energy. Gift yourself!
After you have written out your fears, your worry list, this is a very powerful time to put out your order to the universe of what you do want! The more you do this process when you find yourself in a "funk", the easier it will become. This is a wonderful, powerful habit to get in to. So, a quick review, something you may want to put on your fridge!:
If you find yourself in a "funk"
#1 Write out exactly what you are feeling. Write out all of your fears. Maybe you are not sure what you are feeling, if you just start writing something, usually that will "pop the top" and allow more to flow. Maybe just write down "I am in a funk" and see what follows (see what flows out of you).
#2 Write an order to the universe about what you do want! Placing your order after releasing your fears is soooo powerful! Think of it like this, you were just paddling up stream, struggling against the current and now you have turned your boat around and you are allowing the current to gently flow you down stream...easily and effortlessly!
#3 Get movin'! Rejoice in life and the gift you have just given yourself! "Getting moving" is when you can now allow the "funk" to energetically move out of the physical. You could even, put on some uplifting music and do some house work, burn a little sage and have fun with it!!! This will really help shift the energy of your living space. Whatever will get you moving!
