Within each of us lies a force that is more powerful than we can conceive.  The beautiful thing about this "force" is that, not only is it within each of us as separate physical beings, it is what connects us all together as spiritual beings.  This force is described in Star Wars so perfectly, “The force is what gives the Jedi his power.  It’s an energy field created by all living things.  It surrounds us and penetrates us.  It binds the galaxy together.” (Obi-wan Kenobi)

Since we are all connected by this "force" or this "energy field", how we choose to use our powers affects not only ourselves directly, but everyone collectively.

The magical power that makes a flower open and close is that same power that lies within us.  The magical power that turns a caterpillar into a butterfly is the same power within us.  The magical power that has the sun, earth and moon so perfectly aligned to support life on earth, is the same power within us.

I’m sure you’ve either experienced for yourself and/or have heard from others the power of creating ideas.  Most common in the arts, whether it’s a writer, singer, or painter, when they trust and let go and allow the ideas to come, they easily and magically do.  One musician I recently read an interview on explains that he can’t really describe what happens when he writes his songs, it just comes out and flows and all of a sudden he can’t stop writing, within minutes he will have his lyrics.  What he speaks of we all have...we all can tap into this infinite source! 

Within each of us lies the unlimited, pure potential to create our lives and our world.  Focus on the force that connects us all.  Draw on the magical powers of the universe and use them for your highest good and thus the highest good of all.  You can start this by simply focusing on the light.  We know it is easy to do this when we’re “feeling in the light".  But most importantly, do it when you’re feeling pulled into the darkness of fear (frustration, anger, hatred, jealousy, worry, doubt anything that doesn’t feel good).

Trust, let go and stay open to the source!  Open yourself to the powers that lie within you and that you are connected to!  Many of us have heard that when we are feeling fearful it is because we are not connecting to our source.  Using another Star Wars quote, “Fear is the path to the dark side.  Fear leads to anger.  Anger leads to hate.  Hate leads to suffering.” (Yoda)  Use your powers to not fall to this "dark side".  Keep to the light and more light will come, for…love leads to the light side.  Love leads to peace.  Peace leads to compassion.  Compassion leads to bliss.

We need to get out of our own way and allow ourselves to be the creative beings that we are and allow ourselves to use our powers more effectively.  Take advantage of your magical gifts and may the force be with you!
