take back your power
When you begin to understand that your thoughts create your world, you begin to become more aware of how you think, how you feel, what you say and how you behave. You may notice that there are some negative thought patterns still controlling you.
Old fear habits keep rising, causing havoc to yourself and those around you, because you are giving your power to the fear and it is taking power from you. Instead of allowing your thoughts to dictate your feelings, thus creating negative experiences, stop the cycle in its tracks. Recognize that this habit is coming up as a gift, to show you what needs to be released and healed.
#1 Try not to judge fear as a bad thing or that you are a bad person to be thinking or feeling the way you are.
#2 Thank it for showing you what you need to release from your energy, for the lessons it has taught you.
#3 Talk to your fears. Fearful thoughts run rampant when they think they have control over you. Make friends with the fear. Talk to the part of you that is scared as if you would talk to a scared child. Fear is natural in life. It's how we respond that matters. It's when we allow the fear to control our lives that we want to understand it and bring light to it.
#4 Write out your fears. The Pull Your Weeds, Plant Your Seeds guided journal can help you with this. When you come from a fearful place (i.e. worry, frustration, dread) you start to pinch off your cord to source energy. When you learn to come from a place of joy and ease, everything flows naturally.
#5 Be good to yourself. You're amazing.
This takes practice. Just like with physical exercise, your body then becomes stronger and stronger with every movement. The same stands true for these mental/emotional/spiritual exercises. The more you do it, the better you get at it and the stronger you become. Also, the energy you will have back after releasing negative thought patterns will be felt on every level. We are not always aware of how physically draining negative thinking and emotional upset can be. The more shifting you do, the more you will see how uplifting positive thinking and emotional lightness can be. Have faith in yourself and all that you are connected to.
